I’ve come across this particular video in which two young gentlemen who try to act as comical as possible by repeating the paraphrase “Dockers” in a rhythmic pattern one after the other. Although it seems disgusting when heard at first, it has shown the nerves of those men who were kind enough to express themselves boldly. Especially the bearded young man was totally involved in the act! of “Dockers”ing themselves…

My favourite video of them all was actually favorited by many. No wonder it was adjudged one of the best, for he was bolder than anyone to stand in his Dockers in front of the web!!! I thought he was pretty impressive with the way he handled the topic explaining how Dockers changed his life. I am on my way to enter the Dockers contest by posting my own video which could stand out of the box.

Even more surprised me he again, but this time with something much less pleasant. He says: "What would you do now, if I suddenly a revolver at your head?" I do not know what more I have not replied. Brussels beckons

I've already spent an awesome time here throughout my first month in Brussels!
The work at the WYAE concentrated more or less mainly on the training seminar we had from May 8th until May 11th. First the preparations, then the seminar itself and finally the follow up. Until the seminar I didn't realize that Brussels is full of Slovenians, they are just everywhere :)! Most participants came from Slovenia except for a small minority from France and the Netherlands. But no matter where they were from, they were a bunch of extraordinary nice and cool people! It was very enriching to learn and benefit togehter from the lectures, workshops and discussions during the seminar. Seeing those people wanting to get more active in promoting the values of WYA in order to contribute to the well-being of society reflected how dynamic this group of youth was. Moreover, people got inspired by eacht other!
I was absolutely amazed how energized and non fatiguing those Slovenians + others were, when we were drinking bear in the pub or having party until 4 in the morning after a long seminar day.
After the training everyone had to fill an evalution form. Each feedback I've got contained pretty much the same: what all participants liked most was the harmonic fellowship we had with eacht other and the opportunity to meet new people to build friendships with!
What else can I say concerning my experiences here in Brussels... Brussels is great – I love it :-) I like the architecture, the people, the ducks, the nature, my colleagues and my flatmates!! They are all great!!

Mere Crap

Notting Hill, but since the same film, in which the popular film in which Anna Scott (played by Julia Roberts) the terrible ordinary bookseller William Thacker (Who else than Hugh Grant) meets and falls for him (because "she too is just a girl standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her") raises the prices there (even for a short stay) from the pan. Using the spoken word to speak: Madonna has just purchased, for now but just who called ... So we came right at Wimbledon, where of course tennis players often stayed. Our hosts mentioned a few names, but since my interest is as good as nil, I do not remember much of. Or was it still Olivier Rochus?
The same evening the super sympathetic torque gives us a free tour with their car by London, especially for a giant Gaby experience. For me it was a pleasant return (I was here a few times as I said earlier, as befits a good Germanist do). What is new for me, is a restaurant that Tony wants us per se show, even if you reserve to be able to exist within the Sarastro restaurant in Drury Lane. That is near the opera house, Covent Garden and the subtitle is therefore "the show after the show." According to Tony is a special mixture of singers who are free to act and a bit more spicy entertainment. "The atmosphere of an oldfashioned classy brothel," he barrel together. We looked forward to it already, but as I said, we must reserve, so we will finish tonight but in a typical pub, where our hosts (those of our age and, moreover, also worked in journalism, but especially what layout is concerned) child at home and we are therefore immediately be included in the atmosphere. The weather is beautiful (which will remain the whole time) and we just drink on the streets. A bobby comes along to give us the advice to the calmer what to do, but the atmosphere remains pleasant.

My Hong Kong Trip

After a week of fun filled holiday got over at Hong Kong and I came back to Chennai! It was indeed a great 1 week holiday in Hong Kong with G and Para, presenting our paper at Hong Kong University working hard. It was as though a paradise on earth, the very moment we entered the magical land of the Chinese.

Those little stalls on the streets are the must try, especially their ‘smelly bean curd’. Yes, its super stink and you are able to smell it like a street away. What’s horrible about the smell is it will stick to your shirt, hair and even your skin! That’s how powerful! Never dine in those high class restaurants in hotel as their food are not as good as those at the simple cafes, what we called the ‘Cha Zhan Ten’.

We went around in the MTR to Night Market, Temple Street, where we could hear wailing sounds from the balcony of every building around. Silently forcing a laugh, we passed on to The Peak, Star Ferry. We stayed at Tsim Sha Tsui which is one of the busiest place in Hong Kong, situated at mainland China.

Time flies and it’s already OVER!! I would love to visit Hong Kong again soon but people out there who are planning… never go during the winter when it’s really cold. The weather will kill your mood of visiting places which you have planned coz’ it’s really comfortable walking in the sun ratherthan walking in the subway during frigid winters!!!

De La Hoya challenges Mayweather for a Rematch in September

Action packed fixtures involving Golden Boy vying against the world renowned Floyd Mayweather this September. Now that the boxers have rediscovered them and are looking for an entirely predictable outcome after previously, displaying a scintillating performance of boxing as their biggest fight in history, Mayweather/De La Hoya tickets are predicted to sell beyond expectations.

Previously, Mayweather had erased all the financial records, which was previously held by Mike Tyson match which no one wanted to, have another chance to watch. However, the competition between the tough De La Hoya, of Golden Boy Productions having ended prematurely, a rematch would be an ideal to settle the issues.

In the older match last May, the fierce Mayweather dominated the last few rounds after succumbing to blow-arching split is stronger than ever and expects tougher challenge this time.

This thriller match which broke all PPV records, the Mayweather/De La Hoya tickets generating revenue of over $120 million, was one of the most rewarding boxing games ever, as far as I am concerned. In the high adrenalin fight, Floyd Mayweather Jr. had the advantage over De La Hoya and won by split decision within 12 rounds gaining the WBC title.

With the match on May 5 having ended favourable towards Mayweather, the Golden Boy have gone for a rematch, on September 13 or 20th, 2008. Owing to various concerns, this fight is contracted for the welterweight limits, which is restricted to 147 lbs. It is unlikely that it would churn out will be $18.4 million at the arena, although speculations are such that it would cross the record $134.4 million from overall collections and advertisements.

Even with this restriction, Mayweather will enter the challenge as the title holder and defend his WBC and welterweight titles. With two titles on the line, De la Hoya will be expecting a high temperature match at the arena, and scheduled to fight a tune-up bout with Floyd Mayweather Sr. who is the father of the current champion.

Get ready for the clash between titans, Mayweather-De La Hoya II at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada this September.

Eventful day at VGP resort!

VGP Resort, Chennai on Friday 18th April,08 witnessed the greatest get-together we ever had. Fun amidst feeling of oneness between the students of final year batch B 2004-08 Electronics Dept, VEC.

Glamour & BukBuk must be congratulated for organizing the union, although substandard for the amount of cash put in, within the short span of time, while the final semester exams are around the corner. Around 35 out of the entire strength of class turned out to participate and share their feelings which surrounded them for the past 3 years or more. The rest of the fellows who missed to attend the gathering are definitely going to miss an important part of their lives. I do feel them deliberately missing the get-together was better than them actually attending it and spoiling the spirit.

Although the trio(in the foto) missed the initial revel, we caught up with the gang before the entertainment began. Various sports were a part of the enjoyment apart from hour long photo session. It was followed by a sumptuous banquet and later on a trot around the resort. Time rolled by when we started dipping one another at the beach. We had enough energy to splash at the pool soon after, and the highlight of the day was Sai somersaulting on to the pool.

With heavy hearts everyone departed after high tea and snapping group photos. For years to come this day will be remembered by those who attended the event. It bonded the guys and gals and made us feel one.
