The Sarathkumar starrer, 1977, has Namitha and Farzana play the female lead. This film is being shot extensively in Malaysia in some never-seen-before locations. One of the places in which the film is shot is a 200-year-old church. With the get-up mania catching up, most of the actors prefer to don as many getups as possible in their films.
It may be noted that even Rajinikanth will be seen in 20 different get ups in Kuselan. Not to be left behind in this race, Sarath has decided to don six different get-ups in 1977. According to inside sources, Namitha plays a lawyer in this film and will be seen in some action sequences too.
Speaking about 1977, Sarath said that the film will be dubbed in Telugu apart from Chinese and Malay. According to him, there is good market for Tamil films in China and Malaysia. Dinesh Kumar directs this venture and Vidyasagar has scored the music.
