Breaking the stereotypes of the song-and-dance routines, Chennai 28 team’s Saroja will have a background English song in the movie. The song, titled ‘My Life’ is being tuned by Yuvan Shankar Raja and will only appear for a few seconds as a background song in the movie. “We are planning for a promo video with the full length song,

only to be telecast on television,” said Venkat Prabhu recently in an interview to a tabloid.
This song has been shot with one of the well known music bands of Mumbai and was sung by Tanvi. Venkat also mentioned that this trend has been in existence only in Hollywood movies and that they are attempting it in Tamil. “The English song could be telecast in the channels all over India and that would mean better reach for the movie,” he added. Also, this would break the myth in the West that only Hindi movies are Indian movies. “Besides, there was also a need for an English song in the movie,” Venkat Prabhu added.
