Chennai loses by twist of fate

History has repeated itself. And the haunting memories of the past match against Rajasthan Royals hit the Chennai fans once again...... What a way to lose an important match. Damn it!

After missing a great chance against the Royal Challengers who are at the trench of their skills and game style and also with their morale shattered by successive loses, Chennai SuperKings had a bleak chance of going through the semi-finals of the DLF IPL T20. Todays match against the Mighty Rajasthan Royals which came out of oblivion into the chances of glory, a great chance I can say, by the able captaincy and coaching of veteran Shane Warne was the toughest we (CSK) could face.

Right from the start, the Royals gave a royal bashing to entire bowling line-up (which unfortunately was only built by 5 bowlers) and poor Dhoni did not have a better chance to test his chances with the ball :(... Over after over, ball after ball, I was so pissed off the way Smith and newbie Asnodkar plummeted the ball into the crowd seated around Chepauk stadium, that I went out to have a refreshing swim at Aquatic Complex Velacheri.

When I came back, I was stunned to see Chennai retaliating the powerful show by RR, which put up a massive total of 212. Although Chennai has capability to score at any situation, previous match against RR showed that the entire line-up can rattle with the pacer Tanveer in on the attack. As I entered the house, the score was 85-2 in some 9 overs odd. I got hope and started eagerly watching the match, cheering all the while. Morne Morkel was the back bone of Chennai's Innings today which got us closer and closer to the fruit of victory which was lost by a mere 10 runs.

Gosh! The fall of wickets caused agony not only in me, but also the millions of people, including you.... Ultimately it was not as per I expected, that Chennai would win a thriller.... Kris rightly said that, CSK should have won the game, not for their necessity at this point of time ,but their sportsmanship and a comeback after being stunned by a whopping total posed by RR...

A day which will go down in history
